Irish Art Studios Opened
An initiative called VISIT will enable the public to view up to 125 irish artists working in their art studios around Dublin city. The all-day event on September 30 will afford people a rare opportunity to look at creative irish art working spaces, the creative process behind art works and to talk to artists in their workplaces. VISIT is the result of a collaboration between seven Irish art organisations, including independent artist run spaces and established institutions. This is the first time such an event on a broad scale has taken place in Dublin. Collectors can see up to 125 artists, working in a variety of art disciplines, at work. Seeing the process and development of works also gives the public a totally different perception and awareness of visual art, outside the bounds of art galleries and art exhibition spaces.
