Lost Cezanne Art Found

A painting by artist Paul Cezanne, lost for more than 60 years, is to go back on show in Florence after being tracked down by an Italian art historian. The work was last seen in public in 1945 before disappearing from view, but art historian Francesca Bardazzi found the work in a private Italian collection. It will be part of a retrospective of the French post-Impressionist's work due to open at the Palazzo Strozzi in Florence on March 2. Ms Bardazzi dates the painting, which shows a scene from the New Testament, to between 1860 and 1870, when Cezanne was painting copies of the old Italian masters in the Louvre.
