Banksy Art Painted Over

Times Online reports that the graffiti artist Bansky’s earliest mural has been painted over by contractors in his home town. The series of blue shapes on the side of garages, signed with the artist’s tag, was covered with black paint applied with rollers. Local residents saved another mural. Teams have been removing graffiti across Bristol as part of centrally funded neighbourhood renewal schemes, but the council, which is to hold an inquiry, said that contractors had been told not to remove the art mural.
