Picasso Art Recovered

Pablo Picasso's Portrait of Suzanne Bloch and a painting by Brazil's Candido Portinari, valued at a total of $55 million, have been recovered, three weeks after being stolen from the nation's most valuable art collection, report Bloomberg's Heloiza Canassa and Romina Nicaretta. "We confirmed the paintings are original and they are in perfect condition," said Eduardo Cosomano, a spokesman for the Sao Paulo Museum of Art, in a telephone interview from Sao Paulo yesterday. Two suspects were also arrested yesterday, police said. Portinari's Coffee Worker and the Picasso were found in Ferraz de Vasconcelos, in the Sao Paulo metropolitan area.
