Indian Art Tops 8 Million Dollars

At the recent Christie's sale in New York, the auction figure for contemporary Indian art touched 3.7 million dollars. Better still, Indian art raked in 4.4 million at the Sotheby's sale this month - total $8.1 million. Experts in the US had never predicted such a rise in the sale of Indian art.
