Lost Lowry Found Before Major Exhibition Opening

Art curators made a last minute discovery before the Tate’s show ‘Lowry and the Painting of Modern Life’ opens - an undiscovered Lowry found as the artists exhibition was being unpacked. On the back of Lowry's ‘The Mission Room’ painting, it shows a busy square in Salford - typical of his northern mill industrial townscapes.
The bad news is it was discovered too late to show both sides of the work. Art lovers, however can struggle to see it above.
